Jeremiah 50-51; 2 Peter 3
Jeremiah 50-51:
After allowing the destruction of Jerusalem and the captivity of the Jews by the Babylonian armies, God also pronounces judgment on Babylon. Jeremiah fearlessly declares God's judgment against Babylon, stating that although they were used as an instrument of God's punishment for Israel, their pride and sins are not justified. God condemns Babylon for exalting itself over Israel.
2 Peter 3:
A stern warning is given about people who challenge the truth of prophecy regarding God's coming judgment:

2 Peter 3:
A stern warning is given about people who challenge the truth of prophecy regarding God's coming judgment:
- They are driven by pride (arrogant scoffers) (2 Peter 3:3).
- They are motivated by their own lust (2 Peter 3:3).
- They disregard the power of God, who created everything by His word and sustains everything by His Word.
- They forget the terror of God’s judgment, once poured out on the earth through the Flood.
