CHURCH SERVICE GUIDELINES

In 1 Timothy 3:15, the Apostle Paul writes, “...if I delay, you may know how one ought to behave in the household of God, which is the church of the living God, a pillar and buttress of the truth”. This reminds us that maintaining order in God’s house is essential to uphold and proclaim the truth. This involves not only preaching the Word but also creating an environment where it can be received with respect and reverence.

To support this goal, our church elders have assigned specific roles to qualified individuals who ensure order and safety during services. These team members play a vital role in your spiritual growth. It’s a privilege to benefit from their ministry, but it’s also our responsibility to support and cooperate with them.
Here’s how you can help them in their roles:

PARKING TEAM
Our parking attendants create order outside the building by guiding vehicles to the appropriate spots. Please follow their directions—they’ll help you park efficiently based on your vehicle’s size. If you’re attending with young children, let them know, and they’ll do their best to direct you to family-friendly parking.

SECURITY TEAM
Our security team works to ensure your safety both inside and outside the building. In today’s world, churches can face various threats, and this team is trained to handle them. If they ask you to do something or move to a specific location, please comply—they are working to protect everyone.

USHERS
Ushers are responsible for maintaining order inside the sanctuary during services. They greet you at the entrance, help you find a seat, and assist with any needs during worship.
Here’s how you can help:
  • If there’s an open seat near you, let an usher know so they can guide others to it.
  • If you or someone nearby feels unwell, notify an usher—they’ll get medical assistance if necessary.
  • If you notice anything unusual or suspicious, inform an usher immediately.
In emergencies like fire evacuations or external threats, follow the ushers’ instructions without hesitation.

Important Guidelines to Remember
  1. Keep Worship Quiet and Focused:
If you have young children who can’t sit quietly, ushers can direct you to a room for children ages 1–3, where trained caregivers can watch them (you’ll remain in contact with the caregivers during the service). For infants under 1, a designated nursing room is available (women only).
  2. No Food or Drinks in the Sanctuary:
Ushers will remind you if needed.
  3. Keep Aisles Clear:
To comply with fire safety regulations, do not leave items like strollers, bags, or umbrellas in the aisles. Strollers are not allowed in the sanctuary.
  4. Avoid Hallway Congregating:
Ushers may ask you to enter the sanctuary if you’re lingering in the hallways. Please follow their instructions to maintain order.

We hope this helps you better understand and appreciate the role of our parking team, security team, and ushers. They work tirelessly to make our worship services safe, orderly, and focused on God. Please take a moment to thank them—and thank God for their faithful service.
