Scripture and Its Nature

The reliability of Scripture is directly linked to its nature. Scripture is “inspired by God.” It is the revelation of divine truth—God’s revelation of Himself—conveyed through human beings. In this respect, the Bible is radically different from any other book ever written. Like the Son of God Himself, it contains both human and divine elements. This makes it accessible to people and, at the same time, infallible and accurate. But even more importantly, the divine inspiration of Scripture is the source of the divine power it contains.
