The God of Consolation

God, who created heaven and earth, is the only source of true consolation. Life on earth is full of sorrow and anxiety. People have turned and are turning to different sources for comfort, to powerful people or to false gods. Isaiah, speaking to the people of Israel who were suffering under oppressors, tells them that they have a Comforter, Jehovah God, who brought them out of the land of Egypt. This sermon is about God and His consolation.
